Thailand Marking requirements (only SIMATIC RF1060R/RF1070R):
Following statement may be displayed on packaging or additional
page or on user's manual. For Sdoc, it is optional to display this
wording.
“เครื่องโทรคมนาคมและอุปกรณนี้มีความสอดคลองตามมาตรฐานหรือขอกําห
นดทางเทคนิคของ กสทช.”
This telecommunication equipment conforms to the technical stand-
ards or requirements of NBTC.
A.1.2 Using the reader in hazardous areas
Device-specific validity of the directive
Please note that the directive and marking described in this section are valid only for the
SIMATIC RF1000 readers with the following product versions:
• SIMATIC RF1060R as of product version "AS: B"
• SIMATIC RF1070R as of product version "AS: C"
The directive/marking is not valid for other device variants or older product versions.
Validity only when the devices are marked
The corresponding approval only exists for devices to which the Ex mark is applied.
TÜV NORD CERT GmbH, appointed center no. 0044 as per Article 18 of the directive of the
European Council of 26 February 2014 (2014/34/EU), has confirmed compliance with the
essential health and safety requirements relating to the design and construction of
equipment and protective systems intended for use in hazardous areas as per Annex II of
the directive.
The essential health and safety requirements are satisfied in accordance with the standards:
● EN IEC 60079-0: Equipment - General requirements
● EN 60079-7: Equipment protection by increased safety "e"
● EN 60079-31: Equipment dust ignition protection by enclosure "t"
This allows the reader to be used in hazardous areas for gases, for the device category 3 G
and gas group IIC, or alternatively in hazardous areas for dusts, for the device category 3 D
and group IIIC.
