8.1 Overview
Prerequisite
The following components are already installed on the SINUMERIK controller:
● SINUMERIK Integrate (is available with the "SINUMERIK Operate" operating software)
● Secure communication is set up.
Additional information is provided in chapter: Certificate on the server (Page 111).
● The basic functions are configured.
Additional information is provided in chapter: Configuration using the "Consul" software
(Page 127).
● Manage MyResources is installed on the SINUMERIK controller.
Additional information is provided in chapter: Installing new applications (Page 179).
Procedure with SINUMERIK Operate
To establish a connection from the SINUMERIK controller to the server, perform the following
steps:
1. Start the "SINUMERIK Operate" operating software.
Enable the "SINUMERIK Integrate" softkey on the user interface to start
SINUMERIK Integrate

2. Enable the use of SINUMERIK Integrate
Additional information is provided in chapter: Enabling use (Page 140).
3. Configure the proxy and URL addresses
Additional information is provided in chapter: Configuring the URL and proxy (Page 140).
4. To install a current version of SINUMERIK Integrate, proceed as follows:
– Uninstall the basic installation

– Install a client update.
Additional information is provided in chapter: Installing the Client Update (Page 142).
Under Windows: Additional information is provided in chapter: Client update under

5. Restart the SINUMERIK controller.
