How to configure the Xport image transfer system*
Use the three subsequent menu items to select the file
formats into which the X-ray images are to be conver-
ted and in which they are finally transmitted.
Images transmitted in HIF format can later on be re-
turned to an X-ray inspection unit or VIEW:X station*
where they are evaluated using different image repres-
entation modes. It is also possible to convert the im-
ages from HIF format into JPEG and BMP format using
the software OTS-LINK* which is available for Windows
operating systems. Other available formats as TIF and
JPEG permit the direct display of images by means of
standard image processing programs.
In the next menu item you can decide in which Image display the images are to be transmitted.
Standard: on X-ray units equipped with the HI-MAT system*, the standard image display
is the HI-MAT color image;
on X-ray units without HI-MAT system*, the standard image display is the
black and white image.
Default image display: you can set the default image display (F 2-32).
With the menu item Automatic transfer* you activate
the automatic transfer of all generated X-ray images.
If you deactivate the automatic transfer the generated
X-ray images can be individually transferred by the op-
erator as an alternative. For this purpose it is,
however, necessary that you assign one of the priority
keys to the Transfer image function (F 2-26).
If the Xport system is not working correctly, you can call up the system
status via the Xport diagnosis menu and re-activate the Xport system via
this menu.
If you wish to permanently deactivate the Xport system, select the setting off for all possible image trans-
fer formats.

I
Observe that the time of conversion and
transfer is longer if several formats are
activated at the same time. If required,
you have to extend the max. transfer
time (see above) in such case. If no
format is set, then the Xport system will
not transfer anything.
I
It is not possible to transfer images
automatically and individually at the
same time. If the automatic transfer is
deactivated and no priority key is defined
for image transfer the Xport system is
practically switched off.
