How to carry out inspections
How to lead suspect items to the recheck
Mark suspicious objects in the X-ray image*
If you detect suspect objects in the scanned baggage or
freight item, you can mark them with one or several
red/yellow frames* for the subsequent recheck in units
with newer software*.
Stop the conveyor and use the zoom function (F 1-71)
first to exactly display the section of the X-ray image on
the screen which you want to frame. Then actuate the
priority key assigned to the function FRAME OBJECT.
If you want to delete the set frame actuate the key an-
other time before you change the image section again.
Proceed the same way with further objects. If a larger
image section includes already framed sections com-
pletely, the frames will be comprised in one large
frame.
All frames can be removed if you go back to the unmagnified representation (F 1-71), set a frame and de-
lete it again by pressing the priority key two times.
Mark scanned baggage or freight item as suspicious
Press H shortly to electronically mark the item for the recheck.

I
If a TIP* system is activated, you have to
delete a possibly fictitious object inser-
ted by the TIP system with
H before
you mark a suspicious object (F 1-73).
I
If a TIP system* is activated, a corresponding feedback from the TIP system will be usually
triggered upon pressing
H for the first time and any fictional threat object possibly inserted will
be deleted (s F 1-73). For the electronic marking, you therefore have to actuate key
H possibly
once more.
With newer software*, the TIP system can be adjusted in such a way that the marking for the
recheck takes already place simultaneously with the first depression of
H. However, this is only
possible in case that no fictitious object was inserted by the TIP* system.
A
Warning!
The suspect baggage item must be marked as soon as it's complete image has been displayed on
the monitor. This means that the empty section you are used to seeing behind the bag image has
been created and the scroll has been stopped for at least a short moment! Otherwise, the preced-
ing bag might unintentionally be marked!
If the conveyor keeps on running, the marking must not be made too late, since, otherwise, the
warning signal will be activated with the corresponding delay! 970
