Settings and Adjustments
◆ Set Parental Rating
1 Select “Set Parental Rating,” and press
ENTER.
2 Press M/m to set the desired rating limit and
press ENTER.
b Note
This function relies on the broadcaster sending the
correct rate classification for each programme.
Tuning
Makes tuner settings for the recorder.
After step 3 of “Digital TV Settings (DTV
Settings)” (page 40), select “Tuning” and press
ENTER.
The “DTV Settings - Tuning” menu appears.
Make the following settings.
◆Quick Tuning
Quickly presets all receivable channels in your
area.
1 Select “Quick Tuning,” and press ENTER.
2 Select the city you live in, and press ENTER.
See “Digital TV Channel List” (page 56) to
check the channels available in your area. The
display asks for confirmation.
3 Select “Start” and press ENTER.
All receivable channels are preset.
4 Press ENTER when “Finish” appears.
◆Auto Tuning
Presets all receivable channels.
If some channels cannot be preset after Quick
Tuning, try this.
◆Manual Tuning
Presets channels manually. If some channels could
not be set automatically, you can set them
manually.
1 Select “Manual Tuning,” and press ENTER.
2 Select the channel you want to preset.
3 Select “OK” and press ENTER.
4 Press ENTER when “OK” appears.
Repeat steps 2 to 4 to preset another channel.
◆Programme Hide
Disables unused or unwanted channels manually.
The disabled programme positions will be skipped
when you press PROG +/–, and will not appear in
the Programme List or the GUIDE.
All Requires password for all programmes.
G Locks ‘General’ and above
programmes.
PG Locks ‘Parental Guidance’ and above
programmes.
M Locks ‘Mature’ and above programmes.
MA Locks ‘Mature Adult’ and above
programmes.
AV Locks ‘Adult/Violence’ and above
programmes.
R Locks ‘Restricted’ and above
programmes.
