AIRCRAFT DE-RIGGING AND RIGGING
1. General
A. In order to store the S6 economically or to transport it on the road, the wings and the horizontal
tail can be removed for this purpose.
2. Tools, Equipment and Material

3. Horizontal Tail De-Rigging Procedure
WARNING: HORIZONTAL TAIL DE-RIGGING MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED BY AUTHORIZED
PERSONNEL ONLY.
CAUTION: ENSURE SUFFICIENT PERSONNEL IS AVAILABLE TO ASSIST.
NOTE: It is recommended to prepare a suitable depositing area or to provide a suitable stand
to deposit the horizontal tail before to beginning the de-rigging.
A. To de-rig the horizontal tail, follow these steps:
(1) At the horizontal tail, loose the FWD tensioning screw using a ring spanner with a width
across flats of 8mm.
(2) Moving the horizontal tail gently forwards, withdraw its attaching pins from out the
bushings of the attaching bracket at the vertical tail.
(3) When completely disengaged remove the horizontal tail upwards from the aircraft.
4. Wing De-Rigging Procedure
WARNING: WING DE-RIGGING MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED BY AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL
ONLY.
CAUTION: ENSURE SUFFICIENT PERSONNEL IS AVAILABLE TO ASSIST.
NOTE: It is recommended to prepare suitable depositing areas or to provide suitable stands to
deposit the wing components to be removed before to beginning the wing de-rigging.
A. To de-rig the winglets, follow these steps:
(1) Remove the winglet pin using the T-handle tool.
(2) Pull the winglet spar from out the outer wing spar until the avionics connector is accessible.
