FRONT WHEEL REMOVAL
1. Place the motorcycle
side stand.
2. Loosen the axle holder bolt CD.
Loosen the axle (2 tempo-
rarily.
3. Place an accessory service
stand or equivalent under the
swing arm to help stabilize the
rear end. Carefully position a
jack under the engine or chas-
sis tubes and raise until the
front wheel is slightly off the
ground.
CAUTION
Improper jacking may cause
damage to the oil filter.
Do not apply the jack head to
the oil filter when jacking up
the motorcycle.
5. Slide the front wheel forward.
NOTE: Never squeeze the front
brake lever with the wheel
removed. It is vel) difficult to force
the pads back into the caliper
assembly.
6. To reinstall the wheel assem-
bly, reverse the sequence as
described.
7. After installing the wheel,
apply the brake several times
to restore the proper lever
stroke.
