Tightening torque for the hook nut of
the spare tyre holder
32 Nm (3.2 kg-m, 24.0 lb-ft)
Jacking Instructions

1) Place the vehicle on level, hard ground.
2) Set the parking brake firmly and shift
into “R” (Reverse).
3) Turn on the hazard warning switch if
your vehicle is near traffic.
4) Block the front and rear of the wheel
diagonally opposite of the wheel being
lifted.
5) Place the spare tyre near the wheel
being lifted as shown in the illustration
in case the jack slips.
6) Joint the jack handle part (1), (2) and
(3) as shown in the illustration by tight-
ening the screws.

NOTE:
Make sure that the screws are securely
tightened before using the jack handle.
Unless the screws are tightened securely,
each jack handle part could be come off
and there may be a possibility that you
cannot use the jack properly.
WARNING
Do not drive your vehicle with the
hook nut of the spare tyre holder
loosened, otherwise it may come
loose or the spare tyre may drop off,
which can result in an accident.
NOTICE
Tighten the hook nut of the spare tyre
holder securely. However, do not
overtighten the bolt, it may be
warped or broken.
WARNING
• Shift into “R” (Reverse) when you
jack up the vehicle.
• Never jack up the vehicle with the
transmission in “N” (Neutral). Oth-
erwise, unstable jack may cause an
accident.
