Prepare a Portafilter
1.Forbestresults,usefreshcoffee.Groundcoffeeshouldbebrewedassoonaspossibleaergrinding.
2.Selectthecorrectspoutandbasketconfiguraon.Single,doubleandboomlessportafiltersareavailable
throughSynesso™.Thesinglespoutportafilterisusedwithasingle(7g)baskettobrewasingleshot.The
doublespoutedorboomlessportafilterscanbeusedwithdouble(14g)ortriple(18gor21g)basketsto
brewtriple,double,or2singleshotsofespresso.
3.Filltheportafilterbasketjustabovelevelandwipeofftheexcess.
4.Pressstraightdownevenlyontopofthegroundswiththetamper.
NOTE:Whennotinuse,keeptheportafilterengagedinthegroupheadtokeepitwarm.
Espresso Brewing
1.Grindadoseofcoffeeappropriatetothebasketyouwillbeusing.
2.Dispenseintotheportafilterbasket.
3.Levelthemoundandcompressusingatamper.(Atamperissuppliedwiththemachine.)
4.Engagetheportafilterintothebrewgroupthathasthecorrecttemperaturesengforthisespressoroast
andpullfirmlytotherighttosettheseal.

(VolumetricProgram).
