1 About this guide
This user’s guide provides information about TM9480
mobile radios.
The radio behaviour described in this guide applies to
radios with firmware version 1.02.02. To check the
radio’s firmware version, see "Viewing radio
information" on page 94. If your radio does not
operate as you expect, contact your radio provider for
assistance.
This user’s guide is divided into Primary Operation
and Advanced Operation, following the structure of
the training material.
Safety warnings used in this
guide
Please follow exactly any instruction that appears in
the text as an ‘alert’. An alert provides necessary
safety information as well as instruction in the proper
use of the product. This user’s guide uses the
following types of alert:
Warning This alert is used when there is a hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or
