Use the Arbitrar
y Function Generator
Quick Tips
You can save arbitrary w aveforms in .CSV format. A .CSV le consists of sets of waveform point pairs (voltage, point
number).
You can load arbitrary waveforms from a variety of active time domain waveform sources: Channel 1 - 4, Ref 1 - 4,
MATH, digital channels D0 - D15.
The arbitrary waveform memory may be saved to and loaded from one of four arbitrary w aveform memory l ocations.
These may only be loaded to the active arbitrary waveform. You cannot save them to les or recall them directly to
the arbitrary waveform memory locations.
NOTE. Loading from digital waveform sources will use the main waveform record. MagniVu records are not supported.
NOTE. Load impedance scales the vertical settings to show what the load would see based on the load impedance. Since
theAFGisa50 source, for most accurate operation, set the load impedance to 50 and set the input channel to 50 .
NOTE. Noise range is reduced above 50% of the function Maximum A mplitude according to the function:
Noise Percent Maximum = 100.0 * (Maximum Amplitude / Amplitude 1.0)
