Search uses the glitch capture background, when available. This lets you better search for spikes and other anomalies.
Serial bus decode uses a full-resolution sample (foreground) waveform. When filtering is active, that waveform might not
be filtered to t
he chosen frequency.
Using FilterVu
By default, the noise filter cutoff frequency is set to the full bandwidth of th e oscilloscope when you use FilterVu. To invoke
the variable low-pass filter (noise filter), turn the multipurpose knob counterclockwise. The oscilloscope passes lower
frequency signals which results in a cleaner-looking waveform. The noise frequency readout displays frequencies that
the oscilloscope includes in the foreground waveform. The oscilloscope displays higher frequency components in the
background waveform, up to the bandwidth of the MSO2000B or DPO2000B model.
NOTE. The oscilloscope always displays the noise filter cutoff frequency in the upper right part of the screen. The cutoff
frequency reflects the -3 dB point.
1. Push the FilterVu button.
2. Turn multipurpose knob a to adjust the
Noise Filter (Foreground) value.
