Installation
1. Install the battery into the chassis.
2. Connect the positive (red) cable to the
positive (+) battery post.
3. Connect the negative (black) cable to the
negative (-) battery post.
4. Secure the battery with the hold down rods.
5. Install the grille.
Electrolyte Level
1. With the engine off, remove the covers on
the battery.
2. The electrolyte must be up to the lower part
of the tube (A). Do not allow electrolyte to
get below the top of the plates.
3. If the electrolyte is low, add distilled water to
achieve the specified level. (See: Adding
Water)
Adding Water
The best time to add distilled water to the
battery is just before you operate the machine.
1. Clean the top of the battery.
2. Remove the filler caps.
3. Slowly pour distilled water into each battery
cell until the level is up to the lower part of
the tube.
IMPORTANT: Do not overfill the battery.
Electrolyte (sulfuric acid) can cause severe
corrosion and damage to the chassis.
4. Replace the filler caps.
