1. Move the reel-speed-control knob to the high-
reel-speed position.

and tighten the
front jam nut

Adjusting the Throttle Cable
Adjusting the Low-Idle Engine Speed
1. Park the machine on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Ensure that the engine is at a normal operating temperature.
3. Start the engine and use the throttle control to decrease the engine speed to low idle.
4. Use a tachometer to observe the low-idle engine speed.
The ideal range for low idle is 1,800 to 2,000 rpm.

5. Loosen the conduit clamp on the throttle
cable
.
6. Move the cable conduit until you observe
1,900 rpm on the tachometer.
7. Tighten the screw on the cable-conduit clamp.
