1.Wipeeachgreasettingwithacleanrag.
2.Applygreaseuntilcleangreaseisseencoming

3.Wipeexcessgreaseaway.
AdjustingtheReelBearings
Toensurelonglifeofthereelbearings,periodically
checkifreelendplayexists.
1.Loosenreeltobedknifecontactbyturning
thebedknifeadjustingknobs(Figure26)
counterclockwiseuntilnocontactexists.

Note:Reelbearingsdonotrequire
preload.Overtighteningthereelbearing
adjusternutwilldamagereelbearings.
4.Tightenthesetscrewsecuringbearingadjusting
nuttothebearinghousing.Torquethesetscrew
to1.4to1.7N∙m(12to15in-lb).
