Turningthedoublenutsonthecontrol-handlelinkageallows
youtone-tunetheadjustmentsothatthemachinedoesnot
moveinneutral.Makeadjustmentsforneutralpositioning
only.

mustberunningandthedrivewheelsmustbeable
toturn.Contactwithmovingpartsorhotsurfaces
maycausepersonalinjury.
Keephands,feet,otherbodyparts,andclothing
awayfromrotatingpartsandhotsurfaces.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,turntheengine
off,removethekey,andsettheparkingbrake.
2.Raiseall3wheelsofthemachineupofftheoor,and
supportthemachinewithjackstandsjusthighenough
toallowthedrivewheelstoturnfreely;refertoLifting
theMachine(page35).
WARNING
Mechanicalorhydraulicjacksmayfailto
supportthemachineandcauseseriousinjury.
Usejackstandswhensupportingthemachine.
3.Pressdownontheseat,orplaceaweightontheseat,
topresstheinterlockswitchdown.
4.StarttheengineandmovethethrottlelevertotheFast
position.
5.Removethepressure(orweight)fromtheseat.
6.Releasetheparkingbrake.
7.On1sideofthemachine,slowlyturnthedoublenuts
onthelinkage(Figure62)untilthewheelonthat
sidestartstorotate,thenturnthedoublenutsinthe
oppositedirectionuntilthewheelrotatesintheother
direction.
Note:Thecontrolhandlesneedtobeintheneutral
positionwhilemakinganynecessaryadjustments.
