INTRODUCTION
Options
You can add a number of options to make your computer even more powerful
and convenient to use. The following options are available:
Memory expansion One memory expansion slot is available for installing a
256 MB memory module. The module is SD Random
Access Memory (SD-RAM).
Battery Pack An Battery Pack (PA3154U) can be purchased from your
TOSHIBA dealer. The Battery Pack is identical to the one
that came with your computer. Use it as a spare or
replacement.
High Capacity 2nd This Battery Pack (PA3155U) increases your computer’s
Battery Pack operating time when a main Battery Pack is also installed.
Universal AC Adaptor If you use your computer at more than one site, it may be
convenient to purchase an additional Universal AC
Adaptor for each site so you will not have to carry the
adaptor with you.
USB FDD Kit A 3 1/2" diskette drive accommodates 1.44-megabyte or
720-kilobyte diskettes. It connects to a USB port. (You
cannot format 720-kilobyte diskettes on Windows XP, but
you can use previously formatted disks.)
Battery Charger The Battery Charger lets you charge extra batteries outside
the computer. It must be used with the Battery Charge
cable that is supplied only with the Slim Port Replicator.

Security lock A slot is available to attach a security cable to the com-
puter to deter theft.
Slim Port Replicator The Slim Port Replicator provides the following: an
external monitor port, four USB ports, a port for charging
a High Capacity 2nd Battery Pack, a LAN jack and a DC-
IN socket.
