Assembly
Please carefully follow the instruc-
tions in this Section to properly pre-
pare your new machine for use.
Remember that motor oil must be
added to the engine before starting.
To prevent personal injury or prop-
erty damage, do not attempt to start
the engine until all assembly steps
are complete and you have read
and understand the safety and
operating instructions in this
Manual.

NOTE: All references to left, right,
front and rear of the machine are de-
termined by standing behind the
handlebars and facing the
direction of forward travel.
Inspect the shipping crate and
machine immediately after
delivery. Make sure neither the
carton nor the contents have been
damaged.
If you find or suspect any damage,
contact the carrier (trucking com-
pany) immediately. Inform them
of the specific damage and that
you wish to file a claim. To pro-
tect your rights, be sure to put this
in writing to the carrier within 15
days. The carrier will let you
know how to proceed with your
claim. Please let us know if you
need any assistance.

INSPECTION AFTER DELIVERY
ASSEMBLY STEPS
• Wire Cutter
• 7/16” Wrench
• 3/8” Wrench
• Two 1/2” Wrenches
• Scissors or Pen Knife
• Needle-nose Pliers
• Motor Oil (see Step 5)
• Tire Gauge
IMPORTANT: Motor oil must
be added to the engine before it
is started. The procedure for
adding oil is explained in Step 5.
STEP 1: Unpacking Mower
1. Cut plastic banding with scis-
sors. Open box flaps and remove
liners. Remove any staples secur-
ing bottom of carton to wood pal-
let. Lift off carton. Cut metal
straps securing unit to base. Leave
unit on base of pallet during as-
sembly steps (to safely remove
unit from base, wait until you have
completed assembly steps 1-4).
2. Remove and open hardware
bag. Check contents of bag against
illustrated parts list on next page.
Unless otherwise noted, all items
are shown at actual size.
3. Cut plastic tie straps holding
four control rods to handlebars.
Remove any cartoning from
between handlebars and unit.
