10. Install the new lter element(s).
11. Reinstall the air canister cap.
12. Close engine hood.
Cleaning Foam Air Filter Element (Kawasaki Engines)
1. Park power unit on a level surface.
2. Engage parking brake and shut off engine.
3. Remove ignition key from switch.
4. Allow engine to cool.
5. Open engine hood to access engine compartment.
6. Remove the air lter cover.
7. Remove the foam lter element (A).
8. Wash the foam element with detergent and wa-
ter and dry it thoroughly.
9.
Do not oil foam lter element.
Reinstall the foam element over the paper element.
10. Reinstall the air lter cover.
11. Close engine hood.

Cleaning and Replacing Paper Air Filter Element
(Kawasaki Engines)
1. Park power unit on a level surface.
2. Engage parking brake and shut off engine.
3. Remove ignition key from switch.
4. Allow engine to cool.
5. Open engine hood to access engine compartment.
6. Remove the air lter cover.
7. Remove the foam lter element.
8. Remove the wing nut and paper lter element (B).
9. Discard paper element, if necessary. Refer
to Engine Owners Manual for proper service
intervals.
10. Clean the paper element by tapping gently to
remove dust.
Do not wash paper lter element.
Do not oil foam lter element.
Do not use pressurized air to clean paper lter
element.
11. Install the paper element and wing nut.
12. Reinstall the foam element over the paper element.
13. Reinstall the air lter cover.
14. Close engine hood.
FILLING THE FUEL TANK
1.
DANGER
Fuel is ammable and/or explosive. Follow all
safety instructions in the Fuel Safety section of
this manual and in the engine operators manual.
CAUTION
Avoid damage to your engine!
Only use fuel that meets the speci cations required
for your engine. Refer to the engine operators
manual for the proper grade and speci cations of
fuel for your engine.
WARNING
Long term exposure to fuel vapors can cause
serious injury or illness. Avoid prolonged
breathing of fuel vapors.
If fuel is spilled on skin or clothing, change clothing
and wash affected skin immediately.
Park the power unit on a level surface.
2. Engage the parking brake and shut off the engine.
3. Remove the key from the ignition switch and
allow the engine to cool.
4. The fuel tank cap is located on top of the left rear
fender. Wipe any dust and dirt off the fuel cap
