11.1 Fault table
DANGER
Life-threatening risks from unauthorized fault clearance.
 If faults occur on this machine that are not described in this manual, contact the
manufacturer. Do not clear faults independently.
Fault Possible cause Remedy
Engine does not start. Fuel cock is closed. Set gas regulating lever to SLOW.
Fuel tank is empty. Refill with fuel.
Fuel filter is dirty. Replace filter.
Air filter is dirty. Clean filter, change if necessary.
Engine does not accelerate, moves
off badly or runs unevenly.
 Air filter is dirty.
 Crankshaft seals are leaking.
 Clean filter, change if necessary.
Have the machine repaired.*
Engine gets too hot. Cooling fins and fan blades dirty. Clean cooling fins and fan blades.
Engine is running but the machine
will not ram.
 Centrifugal clutch defective.
 Connecting rod or crank
mechanism is broken.
 Cylinder pressure low. Exhaust
opening blocked.
 Replace centrifugal clutch.*
Have the machine repaired.*
Engine output too low. Air filter is dirty. Clean filter, change if necessary.
Fuel filter is dirty. Replace filter.
Engine runs, but machine is
running unevenly.
 Clutch plate dirty.
 Broken/bad springs.
 Rammer base extremely dirty.
 Broken parts in the rammer
system or crankcase.
 Operating speed set too high.
 Clean the machine.
Have the machine repaired.*
