9 Disassembly and disposal
9.1 Taking the warewasher out of operation for long production stops
If the warewasher is taken out of operation for long periods (company holidays, seasonal operation), carry out the follow-
ing steps:
Ø Use the self-cleaning programme to empty the warewasher.
Ø Clean the warewasher.
Ø Open the hood.
Ø Close the on-site water supply.
Ø Disconnect the warewasher from the electrical mains supply.
Ø Rinse the dosing device with water and allow to dry. If necessary, observe the dosing device information from third-
party manufacturers.
Ø Empty the water treatment (e.g. partial demineralisation cartridges).
If the warewasher is in a place that is not frost-free:
Ø Instruct an authorised service technician to make the warewasher frost-free.
This requires the following steps:
Ø Use the self-cleaning programme to empty the warewasher.
Ø Remove the front cover.
Warning
Risk of scalding from hot water
When emptying the boiler, hot water can cause severe burns.
Ø Let the warewasher cool down before carrying out assembly work.
Ø Wear protective clothing, protective gloves and protective goggles.
Drain boiler
Ø Guide the drain hose (3) out of the machine frame.
Ø Loosen the hose clamp (1) on the drain hose (3).
Ø Remove the plug (2).
Ø Fully drain the water from the boiler.
Note:On the PT EnergyPlus, the exhaust air heat ex-
changer is also emptied via the boiler.
Ø Replace the plug (2) and secure with hose clamp (1).
