2. Click the Properties button.
Your scanner has a built-in power saving feature that is set to
power down after 15 minutes of idle time. You can change the
time before the scanner powers down, from 1 minute to a
maximum of 10 hours.
3. Click the up or down arrows for the Lamp timeout setting and
choose a time setting.
To turn the lamp on and off manually without turning off power
to the scanner, click the Lamp On or Lamp Off buttons.
(Model 4800TA Only) To manually turn on the Transparency
Adapter lamp, click TA Lamp On. To manually turn off the TA
Lamp, close the Device Configuration dialog box and the
Hardware Properties dialog box, then reopen them again. The
TA Lamp will turn off. Alternatively, if the TWAIN interface is
open, scan using the Scan Reflective Using option on the
TWAIN Basic or Advanced Interface.
To return the scanner to its factory settings, click Reset Device.
4. Click OK to save the changes and close the dialog box.
