Toner Error Indicators
Note: Bold symbols indicate a steady light, and symbols with radiating beams indicate a flashing
light.
Light Combination Error and Solution
or
The toner cartridge is low. You can continue printing. See Ordering
Supplies. on page 80
or
The toner cartridge is empty. Replace the empty toner cartridge.
See Toner Cartridges on page 81.
or
The toner cartridge is not installed or is not installed correctly.
Install a toner cartridge, or reseat the toner cartridge. See Toner
Cartridges on page 81.
The printer is in the Non-Genuine Toner mode.
PrintingScout Alerts
PrintingScout is a utility installed with your Xerox
®
print driver. It automatically checks the printer status
when you send a print job. If the printer is unable to print, a PrintingScout alert appears on your
computer screen to let you know that the printer needs attention. In the PrintingScout dialog box, click
the alert to view instructions explaining how to fix the problem.
Note: PrintingScout is a Windows-only application.
Online Support Assistant
The Online Support Assistant is a knowledge base that provides instructions and troubleshooting help to
solve your printer problems. You can find solutions for print-quality problems, paper jams, software
installation issues, and more.
