LOWER UNIT/GENERAL
Lower unit leakage check
1. Check:
Pressure
Pressure drops Inspect the seals
and components.
NOTE:
Do not overpressurize the lower unit. Exces-
sive pressure may cause the air to leak out.
Checking steps:
Connect the pressure tester to the oil
level checking hole.
Pressure tester:
YB-03595/90890-06762
Apply the specified pressure.
Pressure:
100 kPa (1.0 kg/cm
2
, 14.2 psi)
Check that lower unit holds the speci-
fied pressure for 10 seconds.
GENERAL
Anodes
1. Inspect:
Anodes
Trim tab
Scales Clean.
Oil/grease Clean.
Excessive wear Replace any defec-
tive part.
CAUTION:
Do not oil, grease or paint the anode, or it
will not operate properly.
