Boot Mode [UEFI] / [Legacy]
• Default Boot Mode: BIOS need to check OS
type for this default setting. Win7 default:
[Legacy]/Other OS (including Win8) default:
[UEFI].
• If the [Legacy] Boot Mode has been set,
Secure Boot will be disabled, items related
to Secure Boot feature in Boot Menu and
Security Menu will be hidden. Firmware will
be able to load CSM module during boot.
• If the user makes modifications to the Boot
Mode, then the user is prompted to confirm
the action as well as informed that the boot
device list won’t be refreshed until the next
BIOS Setup Utility entry and the
modification to the Boot Mode will not take
effect until the next boot.
• After user flashes BIOS or loads Setup
Defaults, Boot Mode should return to the
factory default values.
