Throttle Cable Adjustment
Follow this procedure to adjust throttle cable free-play:
1. Slide the rubber boot (2) back and loosen the jam nut (3) from the throttle cable
adjuster.
2. Turn the adjuster (4) until the throttle lever has the proper free-play of
0.12 - 0.2 in. (3 - 5 mm).

1/8 - 1/4 in. (3 - 6 mm)
3. Tighten the jam nut against the throttle cable adjuster securely and slide the
rubber boot back over the adjuster.
Air Filter
The air lter inside the air lter housing must be kept clean to provide good engine
power, gas economy and to prevent premature engine wear. If you use your ATV
under normal conditions, service the lter at the intervals specied. If you ride it in
dusty, wet, or muddy conditions, inspect and service the lter more frequently. Use
the following procedure to remove the lter and then inspect and clean it.
1. Remove the seat.
2. Unlatch the six retainer clips (1) and remove the air cleaner housing cover (2).
3. Remove the pre-lter (3).
