Canceling administrator lock

Follow the procedure described in “Accessing settings
screens when administrator lock is enabled” on page
129 to display the settings screen.

The general settings screen appears.

Locate [Passcode Setting] in the Settings pages.

Touch [OFF] beside [Admin Lock].

Administrator lock is canceled, and the key symbols
are removed from the settings keys.
The LCD screen can be locked so that only the designated
operator can use it. In order to use the LCD screen, the 4-
digit passcode specified by the administrator must be
entered.
The LCD screen will be locked in the following situations.
• The lock screen key is touched.
• The LCD screen is touched after the set length of time
has passed, causing the screen saver to appear.
• The machine is turned off, then on again.

• To change the passcode, continue with step d.
• If the passcode will not be changed, continue with

• If the wrong passcode is entered 10 times, the
passcode will be reset and return to the initial
passcode (999999).
