Installing the palm-rest and keyboard assembly
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
Place the palm-rest and keyboard assembly on a flat surface.
NOTE: When replacing the palm rest, the solid-state drive mounting brackets has to be transferred from the old palm rest
to the replacement palm rest.
Next steps
1. Install the power button.
2. Install the system board.
NOTE: System board can be removed along with the heat sink, I/O board and USB board.
3. Install the speakers.
4. Install the left fan.
5. Install the right fan.
6. Install the power-adapter port.
7. Install the memory module.
8. Install the wireless card.
9. Install the solid-state drive 2.
10. Install the solid-state drive 1.
11. Install the display assembly.
12. Install the rear cover.
13. Install the touchpad.
14. Install the battery.
15. Install the base cover.
16. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
