3. Replace the three screws (M2x2) that secure the system board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4. Connect the power-button cable to the system board and close the latch.
5. Connect the power-adapter port cable to the system board.
6. Adhere the tape that secures the power-adapter port cable to the system board.
7. Connect the display cable to the system board and close the latch.
8. Adhere the tape that secures the display-cable connector latch to the system board.
9. Align the screw holes on Type-C port bracket with the screw holes on the system board.
10. Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the Type-C port bracket to the system board.
11. Connect the keyboard cable to the system board and close the latch.
12. Connect the keyboard-backlight cable to the system board and close the latch.
13. Connect the speaker cable to the system board.
14. Connect the touchpad cable to the system board and close the latch.
15. Place the I/O-board cable on the system board.
16. Connect the I/O-board cable to the I/O board and close the latch.
17. Connect the I/O-board cable to the system board and close the latch.
18. Adhere the tape that secures the I/O-board cable-connector latch to the system board.

Removing the speakers
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
NOTE:
Ensure that your computer is in Service Mode. For more information see, step 6 in Before working inside your
computer.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Remove the wireless card.
5. Remove the right fan.
6. Remove the system board.
NOTE: The system board can be removed with the solid-state drive, memory module and heat sink attached.
About this task
NOTE:
The wireless antennas are attached to the speakers as an assembly and cannot be separated for individual
replacement. When the speakers or the wireless antennas need to be replaced, services will dispatch both the speakers
and the wireless antennas as a single serviceable component.
