Playback
n Using the jog wheel for fast forward/rewind

Press VINYL.
VINYL mode switches off, and VINYL goes out.

Press 13 during playback.
13 flashes, and the track is paused.

Turn the jog wheel to nd the playback point.
The playback point moves 1 frame at a time.

Press 13.
Playback resumes from the next playback point.
Setting the cue point
By setting a cue point, the track can be played back from the set
position.
n Setting the cue point mode
The operating procedures for setting the cue point differs
depending on the mode. Select the desired operating procedure
along with the mode.
Switch the cue point setting mode in “UTILITY” –
“Preset Setting” – “Cue Mode” (vpage 45).
Standard
Sets the cue point by the standard method used in
general DJ products.
DENON
Sets the cue point in the same way as conventional
DENON DJ products.
•The default setting is “Standard”.
n Setting the cue point
n When using “Standard” mode
Pause the track in the position where you want to set
the cue point, and press CUE.
The cue point is set at the paused position.
n When using “DENON” mode
Pause the track in the position where you want to set
the cue point, and start playback.
The cue point is set at the paused position.
•Irrespective of the mode, the cue point is set at the start of the
track when the track is loaded.
The cue point lights purple on the jog wheel indicator.
However, you can change the color settings. For details, see “Utility”
– “Preset Setting” – “Jog Ind. Color” (vpage45).
n Returning to the cue point
•Playback stops, returns to the position where you want to playback
again (cue point), and is paused (back cue function).
•When this function is used, playback can always be started from
the same position.
During playback, press CUE.

Operations during playback
n Moving the cue point
There are two methods for moving the cue point, using 6 7
buttons, or using the jog wheel.
Setting with 6 7 buttons

When playback is paused, press 6 7 and move
the cue point to the position where you want to set it.
The cue point moves 1 frame each time the button is pressed.

n When using “Standard” mode
Press CUE.
The cue point is set at the moved position.
n When using “DENON” mode
Press 13.
The cue point is set at the moved position, and playback
starts.

Press VINYL.
VINYL lights blue.

Turn the jog wheel while playback is paused to move
the cue point to the position where you want to set it.
•You can search for the cue point by listening to the playback sound
in 1 frame units.

n When using “Standard” mode
Press CUE.
The cue point is set at the moved position.
n When using “DENON” mode
Press 13.
The cue point is set at the moved position, and playback
starts.
