The battery status indicator of the X-act 7000 is designed for alkaline batteries with
a rated voltage U
N of 1.5 V. The use of the specified lithium batteries with a rated
voltage U
N of 1.5 V is permissible, but may lead to a false battery status reading.
4.2 Preparation for operation
WARNING
Explosion hazard!
The use of accessories that are not approved for use in explosion-hazard areas
may lead to the ignition of gas-charged atmospheres.
► Only use accessories that have been approved by Dräger for use in explosion-
hazard areas. Further information available on the product page at
www.draeger.com.
Please observe the battery instructions. For further information see: "Batteries",
page 47.
Prior to commissioning, insert the batteries outside of the explosion-hazard area
(Graphic A/13) and attach the carrying strap (see Graphic A/14). Mount the
approved components for probe measurement.
4.2.1 Insert the batteries
1. Unscrew four torx screws on the battery cover (Graphic A/9) on the rear of the
device using the included tool.
2. Insert the batteries included in the scope of delivery (Graphic A/13). Pay
attention to polarity.
3. Close the battery cover again using the included tool. Make sure the battery
cover has been sealed shut.
4.2.2 Attach the carrying strap
1. Attach the carrying strap included to the eye on the rear of the device (Graphic
A/14). Make sure the press studs are on the inside. This prevents the belt from
opening unintentionally.
