Limited Warranty
DigitalSecurityControlswarrantsthe originalpurchaserthat fora period of twelve monthsfromthe date of purchase,the productshallbe free ofdefects
in materials and workmanship undernormaluse. During the warranty period, Digital SecurityControlsshall, at its option, repair or replace any defective
product upon return of the product to its factory, at no charge for labour and materials. Any replacement and/or repaired parts are warranted for the
remainder of the originalwarrantyor ninety (90)days, whichever islonger. The original purchaser must promptlynotify DigitalSecurityControls in writing
that there is defect in materialor workmanship, such written notice to be received in allevents prior to expiration of the warranty period. There is abso-
lutely no warranty on software and allsoftware products are sold as a user license under the terms of the software license agreement included with the
product. The Customer assumes all responsibility for the proper selection, installation, operation and maintenance of any products purchased from
DSC. Customproducts are onlywarranted to the extent that theydo notfunction upon delivery. In such cases, DSC can replace or creditat itsoption.
International Warranty
The warranty for international customersisthe same as foranycustomerwithin Canada and the United States, with the exception that DigitalSecurity
Controlsshallnot be responsible foranycustomsfees, taxes, or VATthat maybe due.
Warranty Procedure
To obtain service under this warranty, please return the item(s)in question to the point of purchase. Allauthorized distributors and dealershave a war-
rantyprogram.Anyone returning goodsto DigitalSecurityControlsmustfirst obtain an authorization number. DigitalSecurityControlswillnot accept any
shipment whatsoeverfor which priorauthorization hasnot been obtained.
Conditions to Void Warranty
Thiswarranty appliesonlyto defectsin partsand workmanship relating to normaluse. It doesnot cover:
l damage incurred in shipping orhandling;
l damage caused bydisastersuch asfire, flood, wind, earthquake orlightning;
l damage due to causesbeyond the controlof DigitalSecurityControlssuch asexcessive voltage,mechanicalshockorwaterdamage;
l damage caused byunauthorized attachment, alterations, modificationsorforeign objects;
l damage caused byperipherals(unlesssuch peripheralswere supplied byDigitalSecurity Controls);
l defectscaused byfailure to provide a suitable installation environment forthe products;
l damage caused byuse of the productsforpurposes otherthan those forwhich itwas designed;
l damage fromimpropermaintenance;
l damage arising out of anyotherabuse, mishandling orimproperapplication of the products.
Items Not Covered by Warranty
In addition to the items which void the Warranty, the following items shall not be covered by Warranty: (i) freight cost to the repair centre; (ii) products
which are not identified with DSC'sproduct labeland lot numberorserialnumber; (iii) productsdisassembled orrepaired in such a mannerasto adversely
affect performance or prevent adequate inspection ortesting to verifyanywarrantyclaim. Accesscardsortagsreturned forreplacement underwarranty
will be credited orreplaced at DSC'soption. Products not covered bythiswarranty, or otherwise out of warrantydue to age, misuse, ordamage shallbe
evaluated, and a repair estimate shall be provided. No repair work willbe performed until a valid purchase order is received fromthe Customer and a
Return Merchandise Authorisation number(RMA)isissued byDSC'sCustomerService.
Digital Security Controls’s liability for failure to repair the product under this warranty after a reasonable number of attempts will be limited to a replace-
ment of the product, asthe exclusive remedyforbreach of warranty. Underno circumstancesshallDigitalSecurityControls be liable forany special, incid-
ental, or consequential damages based upon breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory. Such
damagesinclude, but are not limited to, lossof profits, lossof the product oranyassociated equipment, cost of capital, cost of substitute or replacement
equipment, facilitiesorservices, down time, purchaser’stime, the claims of third parties, including customers, and injuryto property. The lawsof some jur-
isdictionslimit ordo not allow the disclaimerof consequentialdamages. If the laws of such a jurisdiction applyto any claimbyor againstDSC, the limitations
and disclaimerscontained here shallbe to the greatest extent permitted by law. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidentalor con-
sequentialdamages, so that the above maynot applyto you.
Disclaimer of Warranties
This warranty contains the entire warranty and shall be in lieu of any and all other warranties, whether expressed or implied (includ-
ing all implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) And of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of
Digital Security Controls Digital Security Controls neither assumes responsibility for, nor authorizes any other person purporting to
act on its behalf to modify or to change this warranty, nor to assume for it any other warranty or liability concerning this product.
This disclaimer of warranties and limited warranty are governed by the laws of the province of Ontario, Canada.
DigitalSecurityControlsrecommendsthat the entire systembe completelytested on a regularbasis.However,despite frequent testing,and due to, but
not limited to, criminaltampering orelectricaldisruption, itis possible forthisproduct to failto performasexpected.
Installer’s Lockout
Anyproductsreturned to DSC which have the Installer’sLockout option enabled and exhibit no otherproblemswillbe subjectto a service charge.
Out of Warranty Repairs
DigitalSecurityControlswillat its option repair or replace out-of-warrantyproductswhich are returned to its factoryaccording to the following conditions.
Anyone returning goodsto DigitalSecurityControlsmustfirst obtain an authorization number. DigitalSecurityControlswillnot accept anyshipment what-
soeverforwhich priorauthorization hasnotbeen obtained.
Products which Digital Security Controls determines to be repairable will be repaired and returned. A set fee which Digital Security Controls has pre-
determined and which maybe revised fromtime to time, willbe charged foreach unit repaired.
Productswhich DigitalSecurity Controlsdeterminesnot to be repairable willbe replaced bythe nearest equivalentproduct available atthat time. The cur-
rent market price of the replacement product willbe charged foreach replacement unit.

IMPORTANT- READ CAREFULLY: DSC Software purchased with or without Products and Componentsiscopyrighted and ispurchased under the fol-
lowing license terms:
This End-User License Agreement (“EULA”) isa legal agreement between You (the company, individual or entity who acquired the Software and any
related Hardware)and DigitalSecurityControls, a division of Tyco SafetyProductsCanada Ltd. (“DSC”), the manufacturerof the integrated securitysys-
temsand the developer of the software and anyrelated productsorcomponents(“HARDWARE”)which You acquired.
If the DSC software product (“SOFTWAREPRODUCT” or “SOFTWARE”) isintended to be accompanied byHARDWARE, and is NOT accompanied by
new HARDWARE, You may not use, copy or install the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. The SOFTWARE PRODUCT includes computer software, and may
include associated media, printed materials, and “online”orelectronicdocumentation.
Any software provided along with the SOFTWAREPRODUCT that is associated with a separate end-userlicense agreement is licensed to You under
the termsof that license agreement.
