HYDRAULIC SAFETY SYSTEMS
The hydraulic safety systems detect any possible malfunctions in the hydraulic circuits or leakage in any of
the components.
The safety devices are electromechanically and hydraulically operated, and remain in operation throughout
the washing cycle and, in some cases, even when the appliance is switched off.
The safety systems are fitted to dishwashers with both electromechanical and electronic timers.

ANTI-FLOODING system
This is an electromechanical safety device which is
connected electrically in series to the solenoid
valve.
At the bottom of the appliance, a float-actioned
sensor connected to a microswitch is raised when
there is water in the bottom, and actions the safety
system. This actions a device which disconnects the
solenoid valve from the power supply, thus
interrupting the cycle.
ANTI-OVERFLOW system
This mechanical device is built into the fill solenoid
valve and connected to the IWMS.
As the water level in the sump rises, the level in the
anti-overflow chamber of the IWMS, too, will rise,
since the sump and the chamber are connected by
a tube.
If the water reaches the overflow level, it descends
through the siphon into the IWMS chamber; this
increases the pressure of the air in the chamber,
which pressurizes the system through a small tube.
This pressure actions a device which moves the
piston downwards to block the flow of water and
thus to interrupt the cycle.
AQUASTOP system
Mechanical device built into the fill hose.
This device is fitted to one end of the fill hose; its
water-tightness is assured by a hermetic seal.
In case of leakage from the fill hose (or breakage of
the hose), the water is recovered and ducted
through the outer sheath to the AQUASTOP device
in which a built-in sensor expands on contact with
the water, presses the valve downwards and
completely cuts off the flow of water.
