The washing unit is made up of:
a rear casing (1), a front casing (2) welded together, making up the
welded tub. Inside, it contains the drum (6) (made of stainless
steel) with three blades (7) clicked in place (made of carboran).
To balance the unit during the washing movements and during the
spin phases, the counterweights are secured in place with screws:
a front counterweight (3) and a rear one (4).
The bellow seal (5) is fastened at the front.
The washing unit is suspended by two coil springs (8) attached to
the top crossbar, and the oscillations are dampened by three shock
absorbers, two on the right (9) and one on the left (10) (looking
straight at the front of the appliance).
In the SERIES 7, all three shock absorbers are the same, whereas
in the SERIES 8 and 9 the left one (10) has an incorporated weight
sensor (for further details please read about the weight sensor on
page 55).
