Wire the discrete input (externally powered)
Procedure
Wire to the appropriate input terminal and pins.
Note
Use external powered for voltage signals input to the 4700 DI.

Maximum positive threshold is 3 VDC.
Minimum negative threshold is 0.6 VDC.

Use this section to wire the RS-485 output in explosion-proof, nonincendive, or
nonhazardous installations.
Procedure
Wire to the appropriate output terminal and pins.
