QD Sealing Caps
Cover any unused QD Cable connector with Enphase watertight QD Sealing Caps (QD-SEAL-10).
Listen for a click as the connectors engage.
Install QD Sealing Caps on all unused AC connectors because these connectors become live when
the system is energized.
QD Sealing Caps are required for protection against moisture ingress. Use the QD Disconnect Tool to
remove the QD Sealing Cap.

QD Terminator
Install the QD Terminator (QD-TERM-10) on any cut end of the QD Cable that is not connected to a
three-phase AC grid through a junction box or a three-phase field wireable connector.

AC wire management at the junction box
The AC junction box can be used for feeding the AC connection to the microinverter branch circuit or
to splice two sections of QD Cable/Raw QD Cable together in case of complex installations with
multiple arrays across the rooftop. Follow these recommendations to prevent moisture from
accumulating in the AC junction box. This helps to improve system reliability while ensuring that the
wiring connections last for the life of the system.
