1. Remove the presser foot holder and attach
the gathering foot.
2. Sew a single row or multiple rows of
straight stitches.
3. If more gathering is required, loosen the
upper thread tension to below 2 so that the
bobbin thread lies on the underside of the
material.
4. Pull the bobbin threads to obtain the
desired amount of gather, then tie the
threads to secure them.
5. Smooth the gathers by ironing them.
Please Note: It can also use the all
purpose foot and gather fabric by hand
by lowering the tension setting to below
2 and pulling the lower thread to gather
the material.
