Handling Consumables
• Do not store consumables upright.
• Do not unpack consumables parts until they are ready to be used.
• Avoid storing consumables parts in the following locations:
• in high temperature and humidity
• near heat sources
• in direct sun light
• in dusty places
• When using consumables, make sure to follow the precautions stated on their packaging.
• We recommend you to keep backup supplies of consumables.
Recycling Used Consumables
The used toner cartridges, drum cartridge, and fuser unit are recycled for environmental
conservation and effective utilization of materials. To dispose of the used toner cartridges,
drum cartridge, and fuser unit properly, return them to Fuji Xerox or your dealer.
Replacing the Toner Cartridges
The printer has toner cartridges of four colors: black (K), yellow (Y), magenta (M), and cyan
(C).
When a toner cartridge is near or reaches the end of its life, the following messages appear
on the printer’s control panel.
Important
• Make sure that the power is on when replacing the toner cartridges. Switching the power off erases the
print data in the printer and information accumulated in the memory.
• When placing a used toner cartridge on the floor or on a table, place a few sheets of paper under the
cartridge to catch any toner that may spill.
• Do not reuse old toner cartridges once you remove them from the printer. Doing so can impair print
quality.
• Do not shake or pound the used toner cartridges. The remaining toner may spill.
• We recommend you to use up the toner cartridges within one year after removing them from the
packaging.
