• The labels with the following symbol provide jam clearance procedure. Use the labels also as guides
when clearing paper jams.
Paper Jams in the Manual Feeder
Use the following procedure to clear an error displayed on the control panel.
The error will not clear unless you open and close the front cover.
1. Pull the jammed paper out of the manual
feeder.
If no jammed paper can be found or it is
hard to remove the paper, go on to the next
step.
2. Gently pull the tray 1 out of the printer.
3. Pull out the jammed paper remaining inside
the printer.
If no jammed paper can be found or it is
hard to remove the paper, go on to the next
step.
