Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
The screen does not
respond� How do I
reset the device?
1� Remove the batteries�
2� Reinstall the batteries�
NOTE: This does not erase any of your data or settings�

Select Setup > Reset > Restore Defaults to Factory

acquire satellite

1� Take your device out of parking garages and away
from tall buildings and trees�
2� Turn on the device�
3� Remain stationary for several minutes�

charge�
• Ensure the lithium-ion battery is properly installed
(page 4)�
• Ensure the temperature is between 0°C and 45°C
(32°F and 113°F)�
• Turn down the backlight (page 5)�
My battery gauge does
not seem accurate�
1� Leave the device on until the battery runs out�
2� Fully charge the battery without interrupting the
charge cycle�
The batteries do not
last long�
