Introduction
SF
6
pressure values, for the filling, must obligatorily be read on the pressure
gauge 0- 1 MPa (tooling). Pay no attention to indications given by the dial den-
simeter (MPa - psi), it is not accurate enough for the filling.
Pressure gauge 0...1 MPa
Pressure units
(reminder)
D The international unit pressure is the Pascal (Pa).
1 bar (14.503 psi) = 1,000 hPa
1 bar = 100 kPa
10 bar = 1 MPa
Symbols
IEC symbols for the apparatus technical characteristics.
Symbol Designation
p

Values of the SF6 gas pressures in accordance
with the temperature
4
Important
The filling pressure may be incorrectly shown at low temperatures due to the
risk of partial liquefaction of the SF
6
gas. It is therefore not recommended that
filling or top- up operations be carried out at low temperatures (L)fromthe
tables entitled ”Effective, temperature- corrected SF
6
gas pressure values”.
