5. Power Requirements

Power requirements are dependent on grain type, condition and moisture level. Power requirements are

suggestions and may vary in specific circumstances. Steps can be taken to reduce the power needed to

operate the unloader or sweep if power available to the site is limited. Operating the unloader at a slower

speed and reducing the flow of grain into the unloader will reduce power requirements.

Electric Drive

All values in horsepower, (1 HP = 0.746 Kw).

Pulley for the electric drive motor is not provided.

For power requirements from 10-25 HP use a 3 groove pulley.

NOTE: A 25 HP motor will require specialty motor plate/belt kit.

2000 Series U-Trough Unloader

Extensions

Extensions require an additional 0.24 HP per foot of extension.

This assumes an 18" pulley, which is standard for 72', 75' and 78' bin diameters.
