1. Clean the vicinity around the air breather before remov
-
ing the air breather.
Clean the areas around the air breathers before remov-
ing the air breathers. Open the base machine front cover.
Front axle air breather (1) is located at the right side.
Open the base machine side cover. Rear axle air breather
(2) is located at the left side.
2. Put a cover on the air breather port to prevent foreign
matter from entering.
3. Clean the air breather using compressed air. If completely
contaminated, wash the air breather with a cleaning sol
-
vent and reinstall it.
4. Take care not to allow foreign matter to enter into the
axle housing when reinstalling the air breather.
