4 Installation
For ease of installation Midas
®
has been designed
to allow the installation of the mounting bracket
assembly and terminal module separately from the
other parts of the detector. The detector location and
hard wiring can therefore be completed before fitting
the detector’s main chassis and sensor cartridge.
WARNING
Midas
®
is designed for installation and use in
indoor safe area non-explosive atmospheres.
Installation must be in accordance with the
recognized standards of the appropriate
authority in the country concerned. Prior
to carrying out any installation ensure local
regulations and site procedures are followed.

The Midas
®
gas detector has an integral mounting
bracket assembly that is easily mounted to a
suitable vertical surface such as a wall, tool housing,
mounting plate on a pole etc.
