(blue shift) Redefines the 3314A l!IS an ARBitrary Waveform Generator (the shifted function etso
ARB clears the currant waveform to its initial state] . An ARB waveform consists of a
series of voltage ramps called vectors .

Use the Modify knob to change the Vector Haight of the current vector . The last
vector closes the waveform. Its length Is progremmable bot not Its he ight .
Use the Modify knob to chanqe the vector length of the current vector. Note that
the slope does not change and that the waveform may clip at the peak-to-peak Um lt
sot with the AMPTD para mater when V LEN Is very large.
Each time this key is pressed, anothel' vector is in sert ed Into the wavafonn .
Repeat steps 2 through 4 to build an ARB waveform . The intensified portfoo of the oscilloscope display Is the
current vector .

on the oscilloscope trecks V MKR.
Eech time this key I II pressed. the current vector ill removed from the ARB
waveform . The last vector cannot be removed.
Thla parameter changes the period of the unit vector (V LEN X% 1). Use the Modify
knob to change this parameter.
Use the Modify knob to change the repetition frequency of the entire ARB waveform.
Note the 3314A aetusUy computes a new A t.
ARB Mode Summary
The 3314A has s lx ARB waveforms (accessed by RCL ARB 0 to 5).
There are 8 maximum of 160 vectors distributed among these 6 wllveforms (2 vectors per waveform .

(sets the waveform closure between the peak-to-peak limits set by AMPTD).
AMPTD sets the peak -to-peek limits that the ARB weve form must exist w ith in.
