3.48 set sys_serial_num
Sets the system serial number. The serial number has a maximum length of 12 characters. This
command converts input to upper case and propagates the serial number to all EEPROMs except
RIMMs.
Syntax
set sys_serial_num
<serial_number>
Argument
serial_number The system serial number, limited to 12
characters.
Options
None
Example
Set the system serial number.
MBM> sh sys_serial
sys_serial_num is not set!
MBM> set sys_serial_num marvel_fw16P
Updating SYS_SERIAL_NUM in FRU EEPROMs....
