A power supply is reporting a load fault.
Follow the instructions for the model you are working on:
v Models 270 and 820 (See page 421)
v Models 800, 810, 825, 870/890 (FC 9094) (See page 423)
v Models 830, 840, SB2, and SB3 (See page 424)
Instructions for Models 270 and 820
1. Is the SRC 1xxx 1B01, 1B02, 1B03, 1B04, 1B06, or 1B07 on a Model 270 or 820 system unit?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: For a Model 270, perform “Power PIP4” on page 153 to isolate the failing item. For a Model
820, perform “Power PIP5” on page 158 to isolate the failing item. The failing item may be one of
the following parts (see Type, model, and part number list for part numbers):
– Any part on the system power bus
– Power supply P01:
- Model 270
- Model 820
–
Power supply P02, Model 820
– Power supply P03, Model 820
This ends the procedure.
2. Is the SRC 1xxx 1B05?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Replace the following part:
– On a Model 270 with FC 22A7, 22A8, or 2423: processor regulator (see Type, model, and part
number list for part number)
– On a Model 270 with FC 22A2, 22A4, 22A5, or 2422: regulator card R01 (see Locations -
Model 270 for part number)
– On a Model 820: processor card, see symbolic FRU “CCIN” on page 303.
3. Is the SRC 1xxx 1B11, 1B12, 1B13 1B14, 1B16 or 1B17 on a Model 270 (FC 7104), or SRC 1xxx
1B01, 1B02, 1B03 1B04, 1B06, 1B07 on an FC 5075, FC 5095, or FC 0595 I/O tower?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Perform “Power PIP9” on page 172 to isolate the failing item. The failing item may be one of
the following parts (see Type, model, and part number list for part number):
a. Any part on the expansion power bus.
b. Power supply:
– FC 7104 power supply P02
– FC 5075 power supply P01 or P02
– FC 5095, FC 0595 power supply P01 or P02
4. Is the SRC 1xxx 1B01, 1B02, 1B03, 1B04, 1B05, 1B06 or 1B07 on an FC 5074, FC 5079, FC 5078,
FC 0578, FC 5088, or FC 0588 expansion?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Perform the following depending on the model:
– For FC 5074, FC 5079: Perform “Power PIP6” on page 160 to isolate the failing item. The
failing item may be one of the following parts:
- Any part on the system power bus
