Replacing the USB cable and connector in the 7063-CR1
Learn how to replace the USB cable and connector in the IBM 7063-CR1 Hardware Management Console
systems.
Procedure
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. Route the USB and serial cables in through the front of the system, then slide the USB cable and
connector into of the front of the system as shown in Figure 62 on page 59, until it clicks into place.
The serial cable is non-functional, and may not be included in your system.
