Setting the oat-function height
You can set the presser foot height when pressing the oat function
button.
Under this mode, the straight stitch (Pattern No. 1) is automatically
selected.
Setting range: 0.0 - 2.5 mm (in increments of 0.1 mm)
* Default setting is 0.5 (mm).
Adjusting the oat-function height
The oat-function height has now been
changed.

The setting is memorized even when the machine is
turned off and on.

Several seconds

Float function
This is the function to slightly lift the
presser foot during sewing.
This function is used when sewing
quilting or materials such as velvet
that is likely to cause cloth slippage
between two layers.
Press
to adjust the presser foot to
such a height that it holds the fabric appropriately.
Place the fabric (for test sewing) which is same with
the fabric to be actually sewn. Adjust the presser foot
height on the setting screen and carry out test sewing.
If the presser foot height is excessively high, the fab-
ric cannot be fed causing thread entanglement. It is
therefore necessary to adjust the presser foot height
carefully.
