Configuring Internet Access for the Branch SRX Series
Connect the port on the SRX210 that you want to use for Internet access (typically the
port labeled 0/0) to the cable modem or to the connection device provided by your
Internet service provider (ISP). You can enable Internet access in the following ways:
Assign an IP address and gateway through DHCP—If your ISP supports DHCP, your
services gateway acquires an IP address and other settings (domain name servers,
default routes) from your ISP.
Assign IP address manually—If your ISP does not provide IP address information through
DHCP, you can configure the gateway WAN port with a static IP address and a default
route.
Figure 2 on page 21 shows connecting an SRX210 to the Internet.

To assign an IP address and gateway through DHCP:
1. Configure interface ge-0/0/0 to obtain an IP address and default gateway from a
DHCP server:
